Diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 42, Marsha Johnson is on a mission to embrace her new position as an entrepreneur by owning and running her nonprofit organization, Fashions for the Cure. Together with her Vice President and Breast Cancer Survivor Arlene Joyner, Fashions for the Cure has proven to be just what she needed to share with others her therapeutic strategy when dealing with a life-threatening disease such as breast cancer. Giving back to the community through their cancer awareness annual celebration events, Fashions for the Cure provides the platform for medical professionals and inspirational speakers to be a part of an event to share their professions and speak to an audience of survivors, their caregivers, family, coworkers, and friends on issues that matters to us all, the importance of early detection of cancer so we all can be proactive in caring not only for ourselves but one another.
